Fertility at Oeuf

Current statistics show that a fifth of couples planning for a baby experience trouble conceiving, on top of this miscarriage rates number nearly 1 in 4 and the use of fertility treatments is steadily rising. While there can be many reasons behind infertility, there is also a growing awareness of measures we can take to help the situation ourselves.

Our approach

Fertility awareness, nutrition, emotional stability and lifestyle are key factors in boosting fertility and maintaining a healthy pregnancy. At Oeuf Therapy Rooms we offer a full range of services that address every aspect of your pre-conceptual health with you in a supportive, caring and responsible way.

What is infertility?

Currently infertility is defined as trying for a baby for 12 months without success. Although the word infertility has a very final ring, its not the end of the road, but the beginning of a healthier journey into your future and the future of your children. It is more accurate to describe the problems that many people face as being due to sub-fertility, which in simple terms means your reproductive system is functioning below par. This is where a programme of pre-conceptual care to optimise your health before conception can help.

We often take measures to improve our health and appearance, such as going to the gym to build strength, lose weight, and lower blood pressure; improving your reproductive health can be just as simple. Why should we expect our reproductive system to be working perfectly when we know that the rest of our body suffers through our life style choices? We may not be able to see it so visibly, but a poor quality lifestyle can have the same result on our ability to produce healthy eggs and sperm. Simple adjustments to our lives can have a major affect on our body and the optimum functioning of all the bodies systems, which inevitably means an easier conception and healthier pregnancy and baby.

Who are you?

•   Couples who have no fertility complications, but would like to provide the best possible start for their children.
•   Couples with either diagnosed and unexplained fertility issues.
•   Couples who have been trying to conceive for a while without success.
•   You may be using procedures such as IVF ICSI or IUI who wish to improve their chances of successful conception.

What do we offer?

•   Fertility Consultation - A complete review of your medical history, an understanding of how your body works in relation to your fertility, promoting fertility awareness and comprehensive tailored preconceptual advice.
•   Fertility programme - We work with you to plan a unique treatment program incorporating treatments, developing emotional awareness and understanding lifestyle impacts, such as, stress, diet and exercise.

Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART)

ART is the collective term for fertility treatments that include IVF, ICSI and IUI. While preconceptual care can help you to conceive naturally it is also a valuable support while undergoing a program of assisted conception. Studies have shown increased success rates when these techniques are used in conjunction with other complementary therapies. The nutritional aspect of preconceptual care provides the strongest egg and sperm for the procedure, and the use of therapies helps to relax and relieve the typically huge level of emotional tension associated with fertility treatment.
