An Aromabalance treatment is a combination treatment using Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Massage and the tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Following a comprehensive consultation, organic essential oils will be selected based on the TCM diagnosis, and a unique and individual prescription will be blended.

The oils work by the absorption of minute quantities of the essential oil, through the skins surface and into the blood stream, as well as through inhalation of the aroma through the nose. During this treatment various pressure points may be used, to unblock and release stagnant energy, thus bringing balance to the body. Most physical and emotional complaints can be addressed using this combined treatment system.

In holistic Aromatherapy the therapeutic properties of the oils can be harnessed to achieve a positive effect with many different conditions, such as stress related problems to muscular stiffness and hormonal imbalances.

The considered choice of essential oils gives a treatment that is tailored to meet the needs of therapeutic gentle massage that uses a variety of essential oils to restore balance to the mind & body of the individual. Only the very best grade of pure essential oils are used in the treatment.

During the first session the partner will join the mother and massage therapist 40 mins into a pregnancy massage treatment , when the therapist will be ready to finish by working on massaging the tummy (baby). He will watch for a couple of minutes and then take over. He will be shown how to use the flat palm of the hand to massage mother and baby with gentle rhythmic movements. Reflexology points that facilitate labour and help the mother after the birth will be shown. The couple will be shown 6 active birth massage positions over both sessions. Time will be allocated to discuss each position, when it may be appropriate and how much pressure may be required.

The importance of verbal communication will be reconfirmed throughout to ensure that the father understands the needs of his partner - and is clear when he should or should not use massage. Waterproof, personalised simple instructions are given to the father, as this is his opportunity to be an active partner in his babies' birth.

The use of bespoke oils and the homeopathic kit will also be discussed, if required.

Together with the therapist you will consider how your diet and lifestyle could be affecting your fertility. If necessary, clients can have health screenings, for example; hormonal, vitamin/mineral or environmental, to assess any deficiencies or sensitivities. If further investigation is needed we have partnerships with conventional medical clinics where we can refer people for ultrasound fertility cycle monitoring, hormone profiles and semen analysis.

On the basis of your consultation you will then be given a tailored pre-conceptual program. The document contains dietary advice and clear information about your condition as well as recommending which treatment or combination of therapies is most appropriate for your need

Mother roasting is performed two weeks after the delivery of your new baby, or whenever you feel you can leave your postpartum bubble. Our treatment uses moxa, and essential oils to help nourish your Qi and Blood. You will leave feeling renewed, rested and balanced. The treatment takes 1 hour and the mother will also be given a bottle of Nourishing Equilibrium Organic Oil to use at home to continue the benefits. (Contraindications include caesarean section; we recommend homeopathy, reflexology or acupuncture to accelerate the healing process in these cases).

At this special time where you are preparing the body and mind to receive the growing baby within, many physical and emotional changes are taking place.
